Hi, my name is Michelle Ballantyne and I am the Finance Manager at Community Network. I have been working here for 1.5 years but have worked for charities for over 16 years. I currently do three days a week as Finance Manager but I have now taken on another role two days a week for two months as Training Coordinator assisting Chris and the Social Inclusion team to develop Community Network’s facilitation training.
I love working here and glad that I can get involved in other activities as well as finance. I am amazed how teleconferencing can make such a difference to people’s lives. People who sometimes feel isolated can now enjoy conversations with people who share similar interests. Here we work as a team to give our clients the best service possible; from ensuring they are happy with the service we provide to any queries they may have billing.
I feel honoured to have been giving the opportunity to work on the development of the facilitation training. This will enhance our already professional telephone support groups and enable more people to train as facilitators meaning more groups combating social isolation.
